Immunizations
Morrow County Public Health offers immunizations (vaccines) for infants, children, college-bound students, and adults. Immunizations can provide life-long protection from vaccine-preventable diseases.
Morrow County Public Health provides vaccines at our clinics in Boardman, Heppner, and Ione.
Services are walk-in, no appointment needed! Children 18 and under will not be denied state-supplied vaccine due to inability to pay.
Why are Vaccines Important?
Vaccinating is an effective way to prevent disease or illness. Having a highly immunized population reduces the risk of outbreak and spread of various serious diseases and illnesses.
When are Vaccines Required?
Public School: Immunizations are required by law for children attending all public and private schools, preschools, childcare facilities, and Head Start programs in Oregon.
College-Bound: Immunization requirements vary from school to school. Students should check with their intended college for immunizations requirements before they begin classes.
International Travel: If you are traveling out of the country, we will refer you to The Benton-Franklin Travel Clinic in Kennewick, WA. Our clinics do not carry all the necessary vaccines.
Vaccine Costs
Children 18 and under will not be denied state-supplied vaccine due to inability to pay.
Morrow County Public Health will bill your health insurance for covered vaccines.
Vaccines required for immigration
Vaccines are required for immigration for adults over 19. Vaccine administration fees are covered by the state for clients with specific qualifications, otherwise the fee payment is the responsibility of the patient at the time of service. (Based on most recent OIP rates, updated every 6 months.)
