Qualifications:
- Must have basic computer skills and typing skills.
- Must have valid driver's license as employee will be driving company vehicle to training.
- Must pass extensive pre-employment background check, drug test, and DMV check.
- Must possess High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum - 21 years of age
- Possession of the Basic Certificate in Dispatch and Telecommunications issued by the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training or higher, obtainable within twelve (12) months of hire date.
- Possession of the Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) certificate of completion, obtainable within twelve (12) months of hire date.
- Current CPR and 1st Aid, or able to obtain within three (3) months
- A 911 Dispatcher's duties include, but are not limited to, answering 911 and business lines and giving life-saving instructions to hysterical or frantic callers. They will deal with a diverse group of citizens who may be hostile. Dispatch fire, EMS and police personnel via radio. Use basic office equipment. Enter data into a computer CAD system and other duties as assigned.
Hours: Shift work with 24/7 coverage and must be able to work any and all shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Pay: $3,262.00 to $4,604.00 per month plus shift differential and trainer differential pay. Also has medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plan, health reimbursement plan and a member of Teamster's Union Local 223.
