Staff Accountant

Morrow County is now accepting applications for a full time Staff Accountant, located in Heppner. This is a new position in the Finance Department and you can be a part of developing this position. Position is responsible for researching, interpreting and understanding government accounting and regulations, audit policies and contract requirements. This position will be responsible for financial analysis, general ledger reconciliations and internal controls. This position will be responsible for accounting and reporting for grants from many county departments. This position will assist with the development of budgets and assist with preparations for audits.
Associate Degree in Accounting or related field required, Bachelors preferred. One year of experience in governmental accounting required. Salary range $3,808 - $4,860 per month, depending on education and experience, plus excellent benefits.
