Morrow County is now accepting applications for a full-time exempt Public Health Director. The Public Health Director, under the limited supervision of the County Administrator, provides oversight for the coordination and management of all public health programs, administers the operation of the Health Department, which includes but is not limited to county, budget, state/federal grant budgets and assurances, writing grants for additional programs, and internal operating procedures and policies. This position is designated as Health Administrator as required by ORS 431.418.
Morrow County is located east of the Cascades in north-central Oregon. The beautiful Columbia River is the northern border of Morrow County, with easy access to the Blue Mountain Scenic Byway and the Umatilla National Forest. Morrow County contains more than one million acres of gently rolling plains and broad plateaus.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in public health or a health-related field is required. A master's degree is preferred. Must have four years of increasingly responsible experience of the principles of public health, the practice of public health administrative, management principles, and community health services. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
SALARY: $6,698 - $9,424/per month. Excellent benefits offered, including retirement.
